Generally manufactured in accordance with BS 6510
Weathertightness: To BS 6375: Part 1
WEATHERTIGHNESS
Operation and strength characteristics: To BS 6375: Part 2
Construction: All frames have welded corners and are flat and square within normal manufacturing dimensional tolerances of +/- 1.5 mm. Intermediate bars are welded into position.
Galvanising: All components including steel attachments, coupling members and ancillaries: shot blasted and zinc sprayed in accordance with BS EN22063: 1994 or hot-dipped after manufacture to BS EN ISO 1461:1999.
Glazing details: Single or double glazed units can be employed, in accordance with previous successful tests.
Weatherstripping: Gaskets complying with BS 4255: Part 1 manufactured from EPDM secured into grooves of opening frame with adhesive.
Ironmongery for Doors: Standard finishes: Simonswerk galvanised hinges (VN5134) [cover caps painted to match frame colour], 300mm long, 25mm diameter, satin stainless steel pull-push handles (PBC 1300), Wilka (1435) deadlock incorporating a europrofile key to key cylinder. Stainless steel escutcheons (PB6679), concealed Ryobi shoot bolts (RB10), Dorma door closer (TS 83) [Satin stainless finish].
Finish as delivered: Rust proofed by shot blasting and zinc spraying the profiles in accordance with BS EN22063: 1994, followed by a matt stove polyester coating to BS 6497 in a colour selected from our standard colour chart.
